MA Wedding Venue: The Cranwell Resort and Spa

The Cranwell Resort and Spa is a very posh resort located in Lenox, MA. Lenox is part of the Berkshires and is one of the most beautiful places in MA. The Cranwell is a resort that has all of the typical amenities and beautiful grounds. The only reason that we didn't visit or pursue this venue further was cost. All of the pictures look amazing and they actually have pretty decent wedding packages as far as what is included, and the venue fees aren't crazy. They do have a guest min of 125 people over the age of 12 during the prime season (May-October). I do have to add that I received a comment on theknot.com forums about how they had experience poor service and uppity attitudes when they were part of a bridal party at The Cranwell. This was only one comment so I would put to much stock into it but at the same time it is a good reminder to always find reviews on any venue or vendor you are considering. I would recommend this venue for brides with a big budget and want a luxury resort feel in a country setting. Details below!

Catering: All food provided by the Cranwell. Packages range from $248-$100 in the prime season.					Each packages includes different things but they cover the basics.
Alcohol: $46 pp for open bar, $51 pp to include table side wine service.					The better packages include open bar in the per person costs.

Extra Fees: 7% state tax, 15% service charge, 3% food charge and 2% resort fee.					So many fees!
Accommodations: 114 rooms.					Some times require 2-3 night minimums. They will do room blocking at a discount.
